My research was conducted during Life Myth workshops, where the participants travelled between the realms of a mythological RPG scenario, Process Work exercises and an outdoor vision quest. After the events they were interviewed on the effect a combination of those elements had upon them. A special focus was drawn to whether storytelling techniques and becoming a protagonist of an RPG adventure can support dealing with the participants’ edge figures and help with anchoring their discoveries, thus facilitating the Process Work exploration of their Life Myth. The research findings can be of use to Process Work practitioners who run Life Myth workshops, storytellers and RPGs enthusiasts alike.
This presentation features a poster and a selection of visual materials and objects, documenting the project origins, the journey itself, the participants’ experiences and the research outcomes.
