Elena Margo is a process oriented psychologist. She has been studying and practicing Process Work since 2004. In 2005 Elena started her private practice as a psychologist. She has been introducing Process Work and Worldwork into documentary theater as a consultant, co-author and host of theater projects since 2006.Elena Margo has finished Phase II at the International School of Process Work in Russia and is working on her diploma project while being a trainer at the Moscow Institute of Integrative Therapy.She has lectured on Worldwork in theater in Russia, USA, Bulgaria and gave the presentation “Worldwork in the Theater” at Worldwork in Poland in 2014 and in Greece in 2017.
Molly Flynn is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Birkbeck, University of London. She completed her PhD in Slavonic Studies at the University of Cambridge in 2015 and her MA in Performance Studies at Brown University in 2008. Molly’s primary research traces the history and significance of documentary theatre forms in contemporary Russia and Ukraine. In addition to her work as a researcher, Molly has also worked as a performer and producer of documentary theatre in New York, Moscow, and London. Molly’s book Witness Onstage: Documentary Theatre in Twenty-first Century Russia is forthcoming at Manchester University Press.
Democracy Doc is a research project and performance at the same time, where we explore how people in Russia feel about Democracy, what democracy means to them, and how it reveals itself in their life.
Democracy Doc is a brave attempt to introduce Process Work and Worldwork principles into documentary theatre. As a result, several projects on the edge of theatre and psychology were created.
From 2006 to 2014, it was performed more than thirty times in Russia and Switzerland. It will be performed in a psychological community for the first time, exploring how people in different countries feel about democracy.
People will see how Worldwork has evolved in order to blend into theatre.
Everyone who attends will be an actor and director at the same time. And you will have a chance to contemplate whether it is theatre or Worldwork or both.
